Article body
Serbia will welcome Lithuania to Novi Sad on Wednesday for a match to decide who enters the 2006/07 UEFA European Under-21 Championship play-offs from Group 7 after winning in Georgia tonight.
Mrda opener
Dragan Mrda had put the visitors in front in the 20th minute only for Nickolas Gelashvili to draw the home team level in the 43rd minute. Georgia's hopes of going into the interval on terms were dashed when Stefan Babović restored Serbia's lead within a minute. Dejan Milovanović made the game safe for Serbia with a 70th-minute penalty. It was Georgia's second defeat after a 1-0 loss to Lithuania last month and ended their own hopes of reaching the October play-offs.
