Article body
Norway are off the mark in UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifying Group 5 as Scotland replaced their visitors in last place after this result.
Norway prevail
Scotland are without an U21 win since victory against Croatia in the second leg of the 2002/04 play-offs in November - though even then they lost on aggregate - and they now have just one point from two fixtures in the group. Norway, who lost to holders Italy and Belarus in their opening games, took the lead in Cumbernauld on 42 minutes though Christian Grindheim, and with 15 minutes to go Lars-Kristian Eriksen's goal confirmed a deserved victory.
Tuesday games
Second-placed Slovenia are Norway's visitors to Lillestrom on Tuesday night as they continue their bid to qualify for the last eight for the first time since finishing third in 1998, while Scotland visit Moldova the same day.
