Bete saves
The home side, fourth in the group, had the bulk of the chances, and only the goalkeeping of Georgios Amparis denied them victory. The visitors did have two first-half Georgios Fotakis shots saved by 17-year-old Edel Bete, but were largely on the backfoot.
Armenia denied
This continued after the break, when Armenia poured forward, especially after Greek coach Stelios Manolas switched to three in attack to try and find a desperately needed goal. Amparis had to make an excellent double save on 64 minutes, and Greece were relieved, and grateful to their goalkeeper, when time ran out.
Tuesday fixture
Spain are now a point ahead of Greece and two in front of Ukraine - who tonight beat Northern Ireland. The leaders have a game in hand and can clinch the group on Tuesday if they win at home to Ukraine.
