Article body
France, who impressed all who saw their opening-day victory over the Czech Republic, will make six changes for tomorrow's game against Greece as they seek to ensure their passage through to the semi-finals of the UEFA European Under-21 Championship.
Govou injury
Both strikers, Sydney Govou and Pegguy Luyindula, are replaced as Govou has been carrying an injury after the first game. Pierre-Alain Frau and Cyril Chapuis will fill the forward roles.
Two survivors
The only survivors from the eleven that started against the Czechs are goalkeeper Michael Landreau, defenders Jean-Alain Boumsong and Julien Escudé and midfield players Olivier Sorlin, scorer of the second goal in Thursday's opener, and Benoît Pedretti.
Mexès in
Philippe Mexès, the French league's outfield player of the season, comes in at the expense of Jérémie Bréchet to form an all-AJ Auxerre central defence with Boumsong. Steed Malbranque, the Fulham FC midfield player who was influential in the French team's dominance, is another to take a breather.
Extensive changes
The extensive number of changes shows that coach Raymond Domenech has great faith in the depth of his squad. He will be looking for another assured display at Lausanne's Stade Olympique "La Pontaise" as France go in search of their second victory.
Amanatidis decision
Greece will be keen to improve on their first game which ended in a surprise defeat at the hands of Belgium. Coach Andreas Michalopoulos admitted that his team had been too nervous and that prevented them giving their best. He has a decision to make about whether playmaker Ioannis Amanatidis, who was taken off at half-time against Belgium, will start.
