An early Faroe Islands goal spurred Serbia into action in UEFA European Under-21 Championship Group 4, with the hosts driving on towards a comfortable victory in Uzice.
Serbia were hit by a bolt from the blue when Róaldur Jacobsen lashed home a seventh-minute free-kick, but Darko Lazović laid on the ball for Nemanja Kojić to level, with Matija Nastasić's header from a corner putting the home side ahead three minutes later. Kojić then hit a post before a fine individual effort from Lazović extended the Serbian lead, and the goalscorer set up Luka Milunović to make it 4-1 six minutes before the break.
Gunnar Zachariasen failed to punish a blunder from Serbia goalkeeper Branimir Aleksić as the pace dipped in the second period, and Milunović passed up a decent opportunity at the other end before FK Crvena zvezda midfielder Lazović capped a splendid performance with his second goal of the night, providing a low finish after good work from Luka Milivojević on the left. Aleksandar Janković's Serbia top Group 4 with full marks from their first two games.
