Sweden keeper Patrik Carlgren was named man of the match in the final for his two shoot-out saves – find out who else caught the eye of the experts in the Czech Republic.

The UEFA Technical Observers chose an official man of the match after each game at the UEFA European Under-21 Championship.

After Sweden defeated Portugal on penalties in Tuesday's final, UEFA.com looks back on those players who caught the eye of the experts. Portugal duo Bernardo Silva and William Carvalho were both named the star performer on two occasions, while all eight contenders in the Czech Republic were recognised at least once.

"The task for the Technical Observers is to select the player we feel has had a decisive influence on the outcome of the match or a player who we think has performed his specific tasks with outstanding ability," said Peter Rudbaek, one of the Technical Observers in the Czech Republic.

"If we go for a 'decisive' contribution, this means that it is very often a member of the winning team, but that is not written into our guidelines. Sometimes we feel that the best player on the park is a member of the losing team and then we do not hesitate to select him."
