2025 Under-21 EURO final tournament draw made

The UEFA European Under-21 Championship final tournament draw has been made at the Slovak Philharmonic Reduta Building in Bratislava. UEFA will issue the updated match schedule including the kick-off time of all matches in due course.

The draw split hosts Slovakia and the 15 qualifiers into four groups of four for the finals to be played from 11 to 28 June 2025. The top two in each group go through to the knockout phase.

"We now know our group, and it's a world-class line-up awaiting us," said Slovakia captain Ľubomír Belko. "We definitely need to prepare responsibly, whether it's for Spain, Italy or anyone else, and go all in. We're a strong team, and we'll definitely give everything we've got to advance from the group. We'll push ourselves to the maximum, and the coaches will prepare us well for these matches."

How the draw worked

The 16 teams were divided into four pots according to their position in the UEFA Under-21 National Team Coefficient Ranking.

• The draw started with Pot 1, from where a team was drawn and assigned to the first available group (in alphabetical order).
• To determine the position of the drawn team within the group, a ball was drawn from the relevant bowl, e.g. Group B, to determine the position within the group (B1, B2, B3 or B4).
• The next ball was drawn to be assigned to the next available group. Again, a ball was drawn from the relevant bowl containing the group positions, and the same procedure repeated until every team from Pot 1 had been assigned to a group and been given a position within the group in question.
• Once Pot 1 had been emptied, the draw continued with Pot 2, then Pot 3 and it concluded with Pot 4.
• Slovakia were assigned to position A1. Group A was therefore not available for the other teams in the same pot as Slovakia (Pot 4).
