How did the draw work?

2019 Under-21 EURO review

The draw determined each team's group and position within the group (for fixture purposes). Co-hosts Hungary (Group A, position 1) and Slovenia (Group B1) were already assigned.

The draw started with Pot 4, with a team drawn and assigned to the first available group (in alphabetical order). A ball was then drawn from the relevant bowl to determine the position within the group.

The same procedure was followed for the remaining team in Pot 4, then Pots 3, 2 and 1 in that order.
