Hosts Slovakia will take on Romania, Italy and France after the 2022 UEFA European Under-19 Championship draw was made by tournament ambassador Martin Škrtel at X-Bionic Sphere in Šamorín-Čilistov.
Finals draw
Group A: Slovakia (hosts), Romania, Italy, France
Group B: England, Israel, Serbia*, Austria
*Won elite round Group 6, played after the draw between 1 and 7 June
Hosts Slovakia will be joined by the seven elite round group winners in the finals from 18 June to 1 July. As elite round Group 6 was yet to be played, eventual qualifiers Serbia were drawn as 'Group 6 winners' and will face England, Israel and Austria in Group B. Slovakia were placed in position 1 of Group A with no further restrictions or seedings.
The finals draw, made by tournament ambassador Martin Škrtel, split the teams into two groups of four, with the top two in each section progressing to the semi-finals. Those four teams will qualify for the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Indonesia along with the winner of a play-off between the team sides finishing third in the two groups, filling UEFA's five slots.
