• Primarily an athletics stadium the Rakvere Stadium will stage three group matches.

• It is the home of amateur club Rakvere JK Tarvas, who were founded in 2004 and currently play in the second tier of Estonian football; the stadium underwent extensive renovations shortly before their arrival.

• Rakvere is a town of almost 17,000 inhabitants, 100km away from the Estonian capital Tallinn – and only 25km from the Gulf of Finland coast.

• "During the tournament, several cultural events will take place simultaneously," said Andres Jaadla, mayor of Rakvere. "One of the most notable is the International Theatre Festival Baltoscandal, which will spice up the football games in a special way. This is an exceptional chance for Rakvere to introduce its ancient heritage and city, which this year celebrates its 710th birthday and is also the Forest Capital of Estonia in 2012."
