Greece built on a devastating attacking display in the first round of matches to win UEFA European Under-19 Championship qualifying Group 10, hosts Armenia joining them in the elite round draw with a final-day victory.
A ruthless 10-0 dismantling of Andorra in which Nikos Kousidis, Dimitris Diamantakos and Tasos Bakasetas all scored twice provided the platform from which Kostas Tsanas' team went on to secure qualification, their progress assured by a 2-1 victory against Armenia next time out. Greece made sure of first place with a 1-1 draw against Slovakia in their final fixture.
That draw opened the door for Armenia, 2-1 victors against the Slovakians in their first fixture, who went into the final match level on points with their opponents after Andorra had gone down 1-0 to Slovakia on matchday two. A late Aghvan Papikyan penalty gave Armenia the points against Andorra, and with it a place in next month's elite round draw.
