England stayed on course for a place in the UEFA European Under-19 Championship after emphatically overcoming Bosnia and Herzegovina to secure a second successive Group 3 victory.
Winners against the Republic of Ireland on Wednesday, Noel Blake's team picked up where they had left off in Kyiv, Ryan Noble dribbling past two defenders and shooting past goalkeeper Tino Divković in only the second minute. Sixteen minutes later it was 2-0, Ryan Donaldson supplying a low left-wing cross that Matthew Phillips converted with the aid of a deflection.
Although Donaldson might have added a third goal before half-time, Divković denying the Newcastle United FC midfielder, Bosnia and Herzegovina came back into the contest in the second half with Senad Karahmet heading against the crossbar from a corner and Nemanja Kutić narrowly failing to convert the rebound.
A minute later it was all over as England did make it 3-0, a swift interchange of passes ending with Jacob Mellis finding John Bostock, who made no mistake. Substitute Nathan Delfouneso headed a fine fourth goal 11 minutes from time to send England into Monday's decisive meeting with hosts Ukraine in good heart. Bosnia and Herzegovina end their campaign against Ireland.
