The eight-team lineup for this summer's UEFA European Under-19 Championship will be completed on Saturday afternoon when the remaining two berths for the finals in the Czech Republic are filled.
Holders through
The holders Spain and 2007 runners-up Greece have already safely secured their qualification along with Hungary, Bulgaria and Germany. England look favourites to join them as they top Group 1 with six points from two matches ahead of their concluding game against mini-tournament hosts Belarus, who have three points along with a Serbia side who tackle point-less Poland. With England needing a point to guarantee their spot in Sunday's finals draw in Prague, striker Victor Moses – joint top scorer at the 2007 UEFA European Under-17 Championship finals – is in confident mood.
'Decent crowd'
"We beat Poland 2-0 and Serbia 1-0 so we can go into the game on Saturday with confidence," he told thefa.com. "The locals are telling us that there will be a decent crowd in the stadium and they're looking at 12,000 plus which should be good. We're looking forward to the atmosphere. We haven't conceded a goal yet though and all the boys are ready for the big game."
Rabat hope
There is no bigger U19 game on Saturday than that taking place in the Swiss town of Sion, however, as France and Italy square off – the only two sides other than Spain to win the U19 competition, in 2005 and 2003 respectively – in a thrilling Group 6 decider. Both teams have accounted for the hosts and Sweden, but one of them must fall tomorrow. France coach Luc Rabat said: "Two wins so far is good but not enough for us. We're planning on reaching the finals and to achieve that we'll have to overcome Italy which is a big challenge, but one we can meet."
