UEFA has confirmed the match schedule for the finals of the 2005/06 UEFA European Under-19 Championship, one of the highlights of the UEFA calendar.
Polish finals
This year's tournament will be held in Poland in the second half of July, with the hosts being joined by Austria, Belgium and the Czech Republic in Group A while in Group B, Portugal, Scotland, Spain and Turkey contest the two semi-final berths on offer. The teams each play three group matches, with the winners of one section playing the runners-up of the other in semi-finals on Wednesday 26 July, before the two victors meet in the final in the Stadion Miejski in Poznan on Saturday 29 July, kick-off 20.00CET. In addition, the top three sides in each section will qualify for the FIFA U-20 World Cup.
Televised matches
Eurosport, UEFA's television partner for the Youth Competitions, will broadcast nine games live during the tournament, including the final and semi-finals.
