Article body
Serbia and Montenegro claimed second place in UEFA European Under-19 Championship Elite round Group 6 after a 1-0 win against England in their final match in Tournai. They end the mini-tournament with four points, three less than hosts Belgium, but one more than England and Northern Ireland.
Excellent skills
Milan Djurišić scored the only goal of the game after just ten minutes and the Serbo-Montenegrins dominated during the opening period, demonstrating their impressive technique. However, England hit back in the second period, and Adam Johnson was denied by the goalkeeper from Joe Garner's cross after 64 minutes.
Angry finale
David Wheater then hit the post after being sent clear by a great pass from Matthew Connolly but the game was to end in more disappointment for England after Moses Ashikodi was shown a red card late on for an mistimed challenge as the Serbo-Montenegrins held on to their slender advantage.
