1 Yanick van Osch (PSV Eindhoven, goalkeeper)
He is the best keeper in the world for his age – his reflexes are so fast it's unbelievable.
2 Hidde ter Avest (FC Twente, defender)
Normally he plays at No3 [centre-back] – in my position – but he's also very capable of playing as a No2 [right-back]. He is a really good defender who also always has his mind on attack. He plays like me.
3 Keziah Veendorp (FC Groningen, defender)
I am similar to Hidde and I like to think I am good in one-on-one situations.
4 Calvin Verdonk (Feyenoord, defender)
He is a really good player and, as you've seen, his left foot is really strong. He can play a pass from one penalty area to the other and is influential at both ends. One of our best players.
5 Wellington Verloo (Vitesse, defender)
He is little but really, really strong and nobody can get the ball off him. If the player is attacking him it doesn't matter – he stays strong.
6 Donny van de Beek (AFC Ajax, midfielder)
He has an excellent right foot and can pick out a pass from one side to the other. He's also good at defending and is nice to play with.
7 Steven Bergwijn (PSV Eindhoven, forward)
Steven is really technical and is good at getting the better of his opponent. He always seems to manage to beat his man.
8 Jari Schuurman (Feyenoord, midfielder)
He's everyone's friend and a really nice character. On the field he is a really useful player because whenever you pass the ball to him he always finds a solution. He's quick, and not only with his mouth!
9 Dani van der Moot (PSV Eindhoven, forward)
He's a real centre-forward. You can go the whole game without seeing him and then he has one chance and gets a goal. He's done it twice as a substitute at this tournament.
10 Kenneth Paal (PSV Eindhoven, midfielder)
Also a really good player who has a great shot on him – it's like Cristiano Ronaldo's, only with his left foot! One of the best on our team.
11 Anthony Berenstein (FC Utrecht, forward)
Like Steven, he's technical and strong, and he's particularly effective at crossing. We were sad to see him go [home early] and the celebration against Scotland [in tribute] was really nice.
12 Rick van der Meer (Feyenoord, defender)
A player who's quite a lot like me, good at attacking and defending. He's always relaxed and nothing ever seems to faze him.
13 Segun Owobowale (ADO Den Haag, forward)
You saw a really, really nice goal from him against Scotland. He's the fastest on our team and really strong, so you know he'll do the right thing with the ball if you pass it to him.
14 Abdelhak Nouri (AFC Ajax, midfielder)
He is very skillful and technical – nothing else to say about him!
15 Mauro Savastano (AFC Ajax, defender)
A good defender and he's playing for Ajax, who usually have the best players in the Netherlands!
16 Justin Bijlow (Feyenoord, goalkeeper)
This is Justin's first invite to the U17s squad, because he is usually U16s goalkeeper. He is our youngest, but also the craziest! We like him very much.
17 Marlon Slabbekoorn (Feyenoord, midfielder)
He is effective when dribbling with the ball and strong when in possession. He can see a situation on the pitch and quickly find the best solution.
18 Bilal Ould-Chikh (FC Twente, forward)
Like Kenneth, his left foot is really strong and he has a great shot as you saw in the game against Turkey.
19 Guido Janssen (FC Utrecht, defender)
A really good player who is particularly strong in the air. He can go forward from defence and we've made him feel welcome.
Maarten Stekelenburg, coach
He's a really good coach. He's always to the point with us but I like it that way.
