Coach John Peacock may have seen his England team miss out on last May's UEFA European Under-17 Championship but in his 11 years in charge he has been to the finals seven times, lifting the trophy in 2010.
From Saturday he will attempt to make it eight as England stage elite round Group 6 against fellow former champions Portugal and Russia, plus last season's final tournament hosts Slovenia. Peacock, also the Football Association (FA) head of coaching, spoke to UEFA.com about the importance of the competition and how he aims to develop his players as both footballers and people.
