• The modern home of FK Smederevo will stage three UEFA European Under-17 Championship Group B games.

• The stadium took form between 1993 and 2000 and plans exist to improve it further.

• It hosted a senior friendly between Serbia and Lithuania in 2002 as well as Under-21 and women's qualifiers plus UEFA club competition games, and a rugby league European Cup game against Wales in 2009.

• FK Smederevo were founded in 1924 by an iron factory as FK Sartid and were also known as FK Metalac and FK Jevdinstvo, OFK Budućnost and FK Metalurg at various times. Their greatest moment was winning the 2003 Serbian and Montenegrin Cup final 1-0 against FK Crvena zvezda in Belgrade, earning the second of their two UEFA Cup campaigns.

• The city of Smederevo, home to more than 100,000 people is around 40km down the Danube from Belgrade and at various times was in the Hungarian and Ottoman empires, as well as briefly being Serbia's capital during the uprising of 1806.
