Wales and Norway drew their opening UEFA European Under-17 Championship elite round Group 5 encounter in La Rochelle.
Norway enjoyed the majority of the play in a tight first half played in constant rain, but the second was much more open. Wales went closest to scoring in the 51st minute when a fine volley from Robert Parry rebounded to safety off the crossbar. Etzaz Hussain also missed a last-gasp chance for Norway although a share of the spoils was deserved. On Sunday Wales face Turkey and Norway meet mini-tournament hosts France.
