Knockout field complete as five negotiate play-offs

Altınordu 0-2 Atlético Madrid (Toni Moya 12pen, De Castro 90)
Toni Moya converted a penalty and was later sent off as Atlético ended Altınordu's run. Moya received his second yellow card just after the hour mark, evening up the numbers after the 44th-minute dismissal of Kerim Alıcı. Alıcı's defensive team-mate Seydi Kayasoy joined him in the dressing room before substitute Pablo De Castro sealed the result late on. 

Rosenborg 1-0 Basel(Solli 76)
Sivert Solli landed the telling blow in a contest of few chances in Trondheim. The forward worked himself into space and fired in a beautiful shot past Dario Thürkauf with only Rosenborg's second effort on target against their Swiss visitors. The late dismissal of Vegard Erlien mattered little for the hosts, who had the better of the second half having been pressed by Basel before the break.

Roma 1-2 Monaco(Grossi 12; Bongiovanni 56pen, Sylla 58)
Lorenzo Grossi volleyed Roma ahead, punishing Loïc Badiashile's failure to catch an inswinging free-kick. Adrien Bongiovanni levelled with Monaco's second penalty of the tie, Moussa Sylla's spot kick having been saved by Lorenzo Cristanto ten minutes earlier, and the turnaround was complete when Sylla pounced after the Roma keeper parried N'Gakoutou-Yapende's cross towards the near post.

Stefano Ciavattini became the third player, and second from Roma, to be dismissed when he saw red in added time, following team-mate Eros De Santis and Julien Serrano in receiving his marching orders.

Salzburg 1-1 Manchester City, 4-3pens(Wolf 12; Nmecha 30)
City failed to score either of their final two penalties as Salzburg recovered from the disappointment of Igor Dos Santos De Paulo hitting the woodwork with their opening effort of the shoot-out. Victory was just reward for the Austrian side, who outshot their opponents 15-3 over the 90 minutes, City's Daniel Grimshaw proving a particular source of frustration with a number of fine saves.

Viitorul Constanţa 4-2 København(Casap 32 83, C. Ene 67, Coman 79; Holse 35, Wind 90+2)
Viitorul made it 14 goals in three home games in their competition debut as their attacking approach bore fruit in the second half. The Romanian side took the match by the scruff of the neck after a wind-affected first period, putting the game beyond their opponents with three goals in 17 minutes, Carlos Casap getting his second after being set up by Florinel Coman.
