Club Atlético de Madrid preserved their 100% record and Bayer 04 Leverkusen's Patrick Bade saved two penalties in vain on a day when Galatasaray AŞ and Liverpool FC edged to 3-2 wins. UEFA.com's reporting team rounds up the action.
Group A
Club Atlético de Madrid 3-1 Malmö FF
Atlético were pushed hard by Malmö in making it nine points out of nine. With Tete Morente lively on the left wing, the Rojiblancos took the lead when Roberto Nuñez finished off a quickly taken free-kick in first-half added time. The visitors levelled through Deniz Hummet, but were consigned to a third defeat by Fede Prieto and Amath Diedhiou.
Olympiacos FC 1-1 Juventus
The home side dominated but had to be content with a draw after Antonis Vatousiadis put through his own net midway through the second half amid Juve's best spell of the game. Olympiacos should have been out of sight by then but, after Qazim Laci broke the deadlock on seven minutes, Emil Audero kept them at bay.
Group B
PFC Ludogorets Razgrad 0-5 FC Basel 1893
A crowd of 5,500 watched at Sofia's Georgi Asparuhov Stadion as Albian Ajeti struck twice to cap an authoritative display by Basel. Cédric Itten was also on target in a win that lifts Basel into a three-way tie at the Group B summit; Ludogorets are still without a point.
Liverpool FC 3-2 Real Madrid CF
Liverpool bounced back from defeat by Basel last time out thanks to goals from Cameron Brannagan, Tom Brewitt and Harry Wilson. Philipp Lienhart and Jack Harper were on the mark for Madrid, who might have earned a share of the spoils had Borja Mayoral converted his first-half penalty.
Group C
AS Monaco FC 0-1 SL Benfica
Hildeberto Pereira's first-half goal, from Hugo Santos's cross, sufficed to net the away team the points as Monaco were left to rue missed chances. After Rúben Dias's 77th-minute red card, the hosts took their shots-on-goal count to 19 compared with Benfica's four – but to no avail.
Bayer 04 Leverkusen 1-4 FC Zenit
Patrick Bade saved two penalties after Jannik Schneider's early dismissal, yet Zenit could not be denied, two goals sealing a splendid showing by forward Pavel Dolgov. Zenit thus claimed their first group stage points.
Group D
Galatasaray AŞ 3-2 Borussia Dortmund
Doğan Can Davas got the stylish winner in the 89th minute, moments after an Ogün Gümüstas header looked to have given Dortmund a share of the spoils. David Sauerland had put Borussia in front early on, before Kerem Çalışkan's volley and an Uğurcan Köse strike – on 72 and 74 minutes – turned the tide.
Group F
APOEL FC 0-3 Paris Saint-Germain
Paris revived their campaign with their first victory, though they waited until the last ten minutes to have their supremacy reflected in the scoreline. Salif Sanogo, who hit the opener midway through the first half, notched his second before substitute Bryan Labissiere wrapped things up.
