SL Benfica scored four second-half goals without reply as they fought back from 1-0 down to beat FK Austria Wien and book a place in the UEFA Youth League quarter-finals.
Visitors Austria were cautious to begin with, but broke the deadlock on nine minutes when Marko Kvasina outstripped the Eagles defence to collect Peter Michorl's pass and fire in from the angle. Benfica, though, never panicked and after a combination of near-misses and Osman Hadžikić saves, Ricardo Carvalho headed in substitute Rochinha's corner to make it 1-1 seven minutes after the restart.
There was no looking back for the hosts and Romário Baldé completed the turnaround 20 minutes from time, rounding things off after excellent work down the right by Rafael Ramos. It was soon 3-1 as Nuno Santos struck after linking with Rochinha, and in added time Gonçalo Guedes capped off a memorable comeback at the Caixa Futebol Campus. All in all, it was a fitting tribute to Benfica great Mário Coluna who passed away on Tuesday.
Benfica will travel to Manchester City FC in the last eight.
