Marco Pinato's 88th-minute intervention earned AC Milan a 1-1 draw at Celtic FC and sent the Rossoneri through to the UEFA Youth League's last 16, as AFC Ajax failed to beat Group H winners FC Barcelona.
The Italian team were moments from leaving Livingston empty-handed. Celtic defender Conor McManus had volleyed spectacularly over Lorenzo Andrenacci from the halfway line six minutes into the second period, after the visiting keeper had cleared an attack. But the young Hoops could not build on their advantage and they were pegged back at the last, Pinato turning in captain Mario Piccinocchi's right-wing cross.
