Even before Barcelona's 5-4 win against Sevilla, Spain's UEFA Super Cup pre-eminence was set to continue.
Last season, Real Madrid became the 11th winners from the Liga in the 39 editions of the competition, with Sevilla the ninth Spanish runners-up – both records. Now the number of Spanish participations in the match has increased to 22 with this year's renewal, seven clear of England. We look at some of the records the Liga holds.
