UEFA, the Football Association of Wales (FAW) and Cardiff City FC are reminding fans that tickets for Tuesday's UEFA Super Cup match between Real Madrid CF and Sevilla FC are no longer on sale, and have warned that tickets available through unauthorised agents may be counterfeit or invalid.
UEFA, the FAW, Cardiff and the competing clubs were the only organisations entitled to sell tickets for the game between 2014 UEFA Champions League winners Madrid and UEFA Europa League holders Sevilla at the Cardiff City Stadium, and the sales process has long since concluded. Tickets are non-transferable, and resale is prohibited under the terms and conditions.
Websites which offer tickets, often at inflated prices, are not authorised by UEFA to do so. UEFA is constantly monitoring the internet and reserves its right to take legal action in case of unauthorised sellers offering tickets. Furthermore, such tickets may be counterfeit or invalid and unaware purchasers are likely to be refused admission to the stadium.
All ticket holders are bound by the ticketing terms and conditions and UEFA will take action in case of any breaches. Online applications will be verified with the competent authorities to ensure that anyone banned from attending football matches cannot purchase the tickets.
