Officiating alongside Barber, 45, will be assistant referees David Babski and David Bryan. Another Englishman, Uriah Rennie, will act as fourth official.
Experienced official
Barber, who has been refereeing since 1974, has been handling international matches since 1998 and last season took charge of the English FA Cup final between Arsenal FC and Southampton FC. It will be the third time he has handled a match involving each of the two clubs.

"Every appointment is an honour, and for the UEFA Referees Committee to appoint me for this particular match is a great privilege," he said. "You always aspire to games like this in your career, and I'm very excited and pleased. I'm very much looking forward to going to Monaco."
