Piotr Koźmiński, match reporter: Poland called up 39 players for their June fixtures, so there is sure to be plenty to analyse considering most are likely to get at least some game time. Matty Cash will be unavailable against Wales, but Robert Lewandowski is fully fit and is set to be partnered by the in-form Adam Buksa, who recently completed his move from the MLS to Lens.

Czesław Michniewicz, Poland coach: "We will field our best line-up; we will try and give everyone who is in good shape a game. We will play four at the back, but we will change the line-up. I can confirm that Robert Lewandowski will start. Kamil Jóźwiak needs to be thoroughly tested; Matty Cash should be ready for the Belgium game."
Rob Page, Wales manager: "It's risk and reward. The biggest game we've got is [the FIFA World Cup finals play-off] on Sunday and that's no disrespect to Poland whatsoever. We're going to show them complete respect but we'd be mad to jeopardise our top, top players so, without answering it directly, you know where I'm going with it."
What happens after the UEFA Nations League group stage?
The four group winners in League A will advance to the knockout finals with, in principle, one appointed as hosts. The semi-finals will be played on 14 and 15 June 2023 with the final and third-place play-off to follow on 18 June.
The teams finishing fourth in the groups in Leagues A will be relegated to League B for the 2024/25 edition.
