Travel tip 📱
Be sure to download the 9292 app – this is the official public transport app to plan your journey in the Netherlands. On it you’ll find accurate trip planners, routes and timings and you can even buy your ticket.
🗺️ Travel between Rotterdam and Enschede
We recommend you book your accommodation in or close to the city where your match is. If you need to travel between host cities, plan ahead and have a look at the options outlined below so you can enjoy the football to the max and won’t have to worry about logistics during the finals.🏟️

🚅 By train
- Rotterdam ➡️ Amsterdam ➡️ Enschede via Zwolle - 3 hours
- Rotterdam ➡️ Amsterdam ➡️ Enschede via Deventer/Apeldoorn- 2 hours 40 minutes*
*Disruption on Sunday 18 June ⚠️
Planned construction works at Deventer station will impact train travel between Rotterdam and Enschede. There will be a rail replacement running between Deventer and Rijssen which may impact journey times.
🚌 By coach bus
Matchday coach buses will be running from multiple locations in the Netherlands to take you directly to the stadiums. We recommend taking advantage of this option - you'll meet fellow fans along the way, and don't have to worry about train timings or public transport! 🙂💯

⚠️ Remember your coach bus ticket doesn't give you access to the match. You must purchase match tickets separately via the UEFA Nations League finals ticketing portal.
🚙 By car
Do not drive to the stadiums unless you have pre-booked a parking spot for each match you will attend. There will be nowhere for you to leave your car. 🚗❌

✈️ International Travel
If you’re coming from Croatia, Spain, Italy or elsewhere within the EU, you don’t need to worry about passing through border control. You can enter the Netherlands with your passport or national ID card.
If you are arriving from outside the EU, you’ll have to go through passport control which might take a little extra time. Also, keep in mind that you may need to apply for a visa or e-visa – check out the Schengen visa advisor to find out more.
AMS Airport ✈️
If you’re flying into Amsterdam, you’ll most likely land here, at the Netherlands’ main airport hub. If you’re traveling from one of the finalist countries – Italy, Croatia, or Spain – there are daily flight options arriving at AMS Airport.
Once you’ve exited the arrivals area, it’s very easy to connect on to a train heading to Rotterdam or Enschede as the train station adjoins the airport.
There are two train options to get to Rotterdam:
1. Intercity direct – the fast train. In addition to your train ticket, you must purchase a supplement ticket costing €1.40-2.90 depending on the day of the week and time you travel. The price of a one-way ticket is approximately €15-17, with the supplement.
2. Intercity – you may have to connect along the way and the journey time is longer, but your regular train ticket does not require a supplement.
RTM Airport ✈️
Located just northwest of Rotterdam, Rotterdam The Hague Airport offers connections from multiple cities in Italy, Croatia and Spain.
Once you’ve exited the arrivals hall, take Bus 33 to Rotterdam Central Station. A single journey ticket costs €4.50 and takes about 20 minutes. From there you can transfer onto the tram or metro to your accommodation or go directly to the stadium.
Top tip 💡
If you plan on using public transport regularly while in the Netherlands, consider purchasing an OV-chipkaart. This contactless card can be used for the country’s entire public transport system and you can simply load the card, tap in and tap out every time you get on and off, without worrying about paper tickets.
The basic card costs €7.50 and you can purchase it from train stations, news kiosks or supermarkets.
