ISK Dina Moskva made it two wins out of two in UEFA Futsal Cup elite round Group B and will qualify for the knockout finals in April if they avoid defeat against Slov-Matic Bratislava on Friday. Elsewhere, Group D started with victories for Lokomotiv Kharkiv and holders FC Barcelona.
Group B
ISK Dina Moskva 5-4 Araz Naxçivan
• Dina Moskva followed up their 3-0 defeat of FK EP Chrudim 24 hours earlier with another success, although they made life hard for themselves. When Daniil Kutuzov gave the Russian side a 4-1 advantage 35 seconds after half-time, the match seemed as good as over. Araz – narrowly beaten by Bratislava on Tuesday – made it 4-4, but their hopes of a comeback victory were dashed by Dmitri Prudnikov's second of the game with less than two minutes remaining. A last-gasp save from Sergei Zuev to deny Amadeu preserved Dina Moskva's slim lead.
FK EP Chrudim 2-1 Slov-Matic Bratislava
• Matěj Slováček's strike after 53 seconds and Michal Seidler's 28th-minute own goal put the Czech hosts firmly in control. Ladislav Mikita halved the Slovakian side's arrears, but it was not enough to spare Bratislava from defeat.
Group D
Lokomotiv Kharkiv 2-1 Baku United FC
• Baku, who started in the preliminary round and are first English club to get this far, took a fifth-minute lead when José Carlos finished off Tobe's pass. Yevgen Rogachov ensured an even first period ended all-square, paving the way for Mykola Bilotserkivets to land the decisive blow just before the half-hour mark.
FC Barcelona 4-1 MVFC Berettyóújfalu
• Section hosts Barcelona commenced their title defence with a comfortable win. Marc Carmona's charges scored four unanswered goals in the first half, Wilde with two of them, though they found the going tougher after the break. Indeed, Gergő Siska struck the only goal of the second period for Barcelona's Hungarian opponents.
