Barcelona dedicate win to Ari and Tito Vilanova

Although Fernandão headed the goal that gave FC Barcelona the advantage in extra time of Saturday's thrilling UEFA Futsal Cup final, he insisted that a great team effort had underpinned the Blaugrana's eventual 5-2 victory over FC Dynamo. Gabriel, who marked his fourth European club title with a second-half equaliser in the Baku showpiece, was equally quick to deflect any praise, dedicating the win to injured colleague Ari as well as to former Barça football coach Tito Vilanova who died on Friday.

I can't really describe the emotions but this victory is huge for us. We've won two out of our three final-four tournaments. We have made competition history again and put ourselves in the record books again. We really wanted to win, having spent all season preparing for this competition.

We knew it would be really difficult and both matches have been tough, but we would like to dedicate this victory to our colleague Ari. We were really down after he was injured in our Spanish Cup semi-final so we dedicate this success to him and also to Tito Vilanova.

It has been a big team effort, and when you play as a team it makes things difficult for the opposition. Dynamo have the best Russian and Brazilian players and are a great side. It was a really even game, apart from the last minute of extra time. My goal was the culmination of other people's work – the best thing is winning and then winning a second time, like we have done.

All final victories are special – I was fortunate enough to win two with Interviú Madrid and now another couple with Barça, and they have all been special in their own way. We knew it was going to be difficult because we were playing Dinamo, a club with history in this competition who are always challenging. We knew it would be tough and we knew we had to be 100% and couldn't afford to make mistakes.

The scoreline is very misleading because it was a really close game. We could only relax at the very end of extra time. The whole team contributed to this success. After Ari got injured last month we knew we would all have to give a bit more to triumph here. I think it was a great performance and we dedicate this victory to Ari and to our fans in Barcelona. For the club it was also important to win because of Tito Vilanova – this was our chance to show our respects to his family.

We saw a great and really intriguing game tonight, a worthy final. We dedicate this victory to Tito Vilanova who died yesterday and to our fans. I cannot say we were far better than Dynamo. We got the better of them only in a few moments, although we missed a number of clear chances. Sometimes it was their keeper who made the save, sometimes we just weren't lucky enough. I'm tremendously happy that we won. As for my opposite number Tino Pérez, I'm not sure how a coach feels after losing three finals in a row – I guess it's not very pleasant.
