UEFA Futsal Cup finals hosts Araz Naxçivan have shown their ambition by signing Italy's Adriano Foglia and Slovenia forward Kristjan Čujec, with Colombian international Angellot Caro also set to arrive.

Araz had previously recruited Ukraine goalkeeper Aleksei Popov to add to a squad based largely around the Azerbaijani national team under coach Alesio. They face FC Barcelona in the semi-finals at Baku's Sarhadchi Olympic Sport Complex on 24 April.

Foglia, 32, joins from Pescara C/5, having previously played in the UEFA Futsal Cup finals for both Città di Montesilvano C/5 and Marca Futsal. Capped more than 100 times by Italy, he helped them win the 2003 UEFA European Futsal Championship.

Čujec also comes over from an Italian side, ASD New Team C/5, after an impressive showing by the 25-year-old at UEFA Futsal EURO 2014. Araz manager Ruslan Mammadov also confirmed to UEFA.com that Caro, 25, will be heading to Baku soon to sign a deal.

Mammadov added: "We have played Barcelona twice [drawing 2-2 in the 2011/12 elite round and losing 7-1 at the same stage a year later]. I believe Araz have grown stronger since then while the Spaniards have become weaker. So even if we are not better than them at the moment, then we are by no means any worse.

"We are not nervous. We just want to win and progress into the final to bring joy to our fans who will be following this very exciting tournament closely."
