FC Encamp have consolidated their status as Andorra's foremost futsal club by winning the Liga Nacional de Primera Divisiò for a fifth consecutive season.
The team led by player-coach Moisés Gonçalves and trainer Josep Bazán sealed their ninth Andorran top-flight title with five games to spare, thanks to an 8-0 play-off victory against UE Extremenya.
Having lifted the Andorran Super Cup in September, Encamp went on to dominate the league's regular season, emerging with a 100% record after 14 matches. To date, they have scored 115 goals and conceded 26, and hold a 21-point advantage over nearest rivals FC Madriu. Andorran international Diógenes Lino 'Cabinho' is the side's leading scorer with 37 goals.
The added prize for Encamp's dominant showing is a place in next season's UEFA Futsal Cup preliminary round. This term they picked up one victory, against FC Shahumyan Yerevan, in August's preliminary Group E but failed to advance to the main round following defeats by KMF Zelezarec Skopje and FC Grand Pro Varna.
