Tickets are now on sale for next week's UEFA Futsal Cup finals in Tbilisi – and the trophy is making its way around the Georgian capital to promote the nation's first-ever UEFA final tournament.
The competition will be played at the Tbilisi Palace of Sport with the following schedule (all times local, meaning CET +2 hours):
Friday 26 April
Semi-final 1 (18.00): Iberia Star (GEO, hosts) v MFK Dinamo (RUS)
Semi-final 2 (20.30): Kairat Almaty (KAZ) v FC Barcelona (ESP, holders)
Sunday 28 April
Third-place play-off: 18.00
Final: 20.30
Tickets cost GEL 10 (approx. €4.70) and GEL 5 (approx. €2.35) and are currently available from ticket booths at the Mikheil Meskhi Stadium from 11.00–18.00 every day. From 23 April tickets will also be on sale at the ticket booths of the Palace of Sport, also from 11.00–18.00.
To publicise the tournament, a trophy tour is taking place around Tbilisi, having been kicked off on Monday – when ticket sales began – by finals ambassador Archil Arveldaze at the Mikheil Meskhi Stadium. This latter venue will stage the 2015 UEFA Super Cup.
Trophy tour stops:
Thursday – Mikheil Meskhi Stadium: Recording of 1TV football reality show Komentator, with the programme's contestants and former Soviet Union players
Thursday – 1TV studios: Live broadcast of Arena show featuring Arvaladze, plus the tournament director and the Iberia club president
Friday – Buckswood School: Arvaladze visiting school tournament and photoshoot with trophy
Sunday – TV9 studios: Arvaldze and tournament director to appear live on football show
Monday – Palace of Sport: Schools football tennis tournament, with guests including Arvaladze and Georgia Under-17 squad
