The 12th UEFA Futsal Cup season will begin with the preliminary and main round draws at 14.00CET on 4 July in Nyon, and the group hosts for both stages have been confirmed.
In all 48 clubs, led by holders FC Barcelona, will take part in the 2012/13 edition, and all but the four clubs seeded to the elite round, including the defending champions, will be involved in the draws. Of those, 17 will go straight into the main round while the 27 sides with the lowest coefficient begin in the preliminary round from 7 to 12 August.
Seven groups will be formed in the preliminary round – six of four teams and one of three – and the mini-tournament hosts have already been confirmed: KMF Leotar Trebinje (BIH), KMF Zelezarec Skopje (MKD), Sporting Club de Paris (FRA), FC Grand Pro Varna (BUL), København Futsal (DEN), 1. FC Allstars Wiener Neustadt (AUT) and FC Encamp (AND).
Those group winners will join the 17 automatic entrants in the main round, where six groups of four will be formed, the top two going into the elite round, alongside the highest four ranked clubs. The following clubs will host main round groups: FK EP Chrudim (CZE), FK Nikars Riga (Latvia), ETO FC Győr (HUN), AC Omonia (CYP), FC Litija (SVN) and the eventual Croatian champions. Matches will be played from 4 to 9 September.
The full entry and seeding list will be confirmed when all the domestic competitions have been completed.
