The UEFA Futsal Cup finalists have played their last games before Friday's last-four ties in Lisbon with hosts SL Benfica on free-scoring form.
Benfica travelled to bottom side GRC Onze Unidos on Saturday and won 9-1, but the game was level at the break after Davi's tenth-minute goal was cancelled out. However, Joel Queirós and Ricardinho found the target and in the last six minutes Davi struck twice to complete his hat-trick before César Paulo and Pedro Costa also added two goals each and Zezito put through his own net. The result leaves Benfica three points behind leaders CF Os Belenenses as they approach the championship play-offs.
Italy's Luparense C/5 take on Benfica on Friday and are themselves preparing for league play-offs after ending the Serie A1 regular season in third place. Luparense lost 3-2 at Futsal Bologna on Saturday and in the quarter-finals will play sixth-placed ASD Napoli Vesevo C/5. Reigning champions Luparense will be away for the first game of the three-match series and at home in the remaining two.
UEFA Futsal Cup holders Interviú Madrid will be seeded second in Spain's eight-team play-offs after two consecutive away defeats, 4-1 at Carnicer Torrejón FS and 5-3 at UD Guadalajara FS, left them unable to catch Spanish titleholders ElPozo Murcia FS for top spot. However, Interviú recovered on Saturday to overcome Azkar Luga FS 8-2, Juanra scoring twice and Schumacher, Betão, Jordi Torras, Borja, Daniel and Marquinho also on target.
Interviú's semi-final opponents, Araz Naxçivan, are the only one of the four sides in action in Lisbon on top of their domestic league. Araz are seven points in front of Ekol Baku in the Azerbaijani Premier League, winning 6-0 at Sumqayit in their most recent game last Wednesday.
