While Group E hosts Nautara Kaunas began with a win, Austrian side 1. FC Allstars Wiener Neustadt could not perform the same feat in their section opener on home soil in the UEFA Futsal Cup Preliminary round.
Nautara strong start
Lithuanian representatives Nautara were up against Andorra's FC Madriu and two goals from Marius Bezykornovas helped them run out comfortable 4-1 winners. The other game in the pool was a much tighter affair as Maltese side White Eagles FC equalised three times before finally going down 4-3 to KF Tirana, hat-trick hero Rigers Sina grabbing the winner with five minutes remaining. In Group F Allstars conceded a goal with three seconds remaining to lose 3-2 to Armenian outfit Erebuni Yerevan. ASA Tel-Aviv also picked up three points to top the standings as they accounted for Hvöt of Iceland 5-2.
