Hapoel Tel-Aviv have arrived in Italy ahead of Thursday's UEFA Cup quarter-final return leg against Milan AC brimming with confidence after their coach Dror Kashtan signed a contract extension.
Outstanding victory
After last week's outstanding 1-0 victory achieved on a neutral ground in Nicosia, Tel-Aviv chalked up another achievement on Tuesday as Kashtan agreed to stay on for another two seasons. The deal will earn Kashtan an estimated €318,000 per season.
'Delighted'
"We are delighted that Dror Kashtan will be with us for the next three seasons," Tel-Aviv’s co-owner Moshe Theumim, said. "He is the man who will guide Hapoel Tel-Aviv and after taking the club to success in the past his path will take us to more success."
Opt-out clause
Kashtan, who was a candidate to replace Richard Møller Nielsen as the Israel coach, added a clause to his contract which allows him to leave the club if he is offered the national job by the Israel Football Association.
