FK Partizan forward Danko Lazovic will be sidelined for at least six weeks after picking up an injury against FK Vojvodina at the weekend and will miss Thursday's UEFA Cup match against SK Slavia Praha.
December return
The Yugoslavian Under-21 international injured a muscle in his right leg in the 37th minute of the match, which Partizan won 5-4. "The first half of the season is over for me," he said. "The doctors are hoping that the muscle will heal by December and that I will be able to start light training," he said. "I hope to reach full form and fitness in February."
'I feel silly'
Partizan won the first leg 3-1 against Slavia in Belgrade with Lazovic scoring the first goal. "I feel silly," Lazovic said. "The club expected a lot from me in these final autumn matches. I am really very unhappy about what happened, but I also believe firmly in my team-mates and their abilities to qualify in the UEFA Cup third round."
