Metalurh ambition persuades Mladenović

FC Metalurh Donetsk have signed FK Obilić striker Nenad Mladenović on a two-year contract.

Ukrainian club FC Metalurh Donetsk have signed FK Obilić striker Nenad Mladenović on a two-year contract with the option of a further two years.

'I must think of my future'
"At the age of 27, I am one of the oldest players in Obilić and I must think of my future," Mladenović said. "FK Crvena Zvezda called me, but a foreign contract is the best option. Metalurh have great ambitions for next season - they want to challenge FC Dynamo Kyiv and FC Shakhtar Donetsk. Also, they want some good results in the UEFA Cup. These are important things for me."

Two caps
Mladenovic has been capped twice by Serbia and Montenegro while Obilić finished seventh in the Prva savezna liga last season. Metalurh are third in Ukraine with one game of the season remaining.
