Emmanuel Ekwueme has been suspended by Wisla Plock for a breach of club discipline.
Club accusations
The 24-year-old Nigerian international has been suspended for three months and fined €4,000 after turning up late for pre-season training and taking part in a friendly game for Nigeria against the club's wishes.
Plock hit back
"Ekwueme will not play in our team, including UEFA Cup matches, as we want to fine him for bad behaviour and being late back from Nigeria last week," said Plock president Krzysztof Dmoszynski. "He rejected official documents we sent to him. Last week he was informed that we were against his trip to London to play in a friendly match for Nigeria against Venezuela, as it was not an official FIFA date."
'We have had enough'
The club president admitted that he may now be looking to offload the player, who turned up three weeks late for Plock's pre-season training camp. "I don't think he's a bad player," said Dmoszynski. "He's not. But we have had enough of his behaviour."
