Contract extension
NAC Breda have signed the 22-year-old on a season's loan from Feyenoord. However, the Rotterdam club have insisted that Elmander still has a future at the De Kuip and have extended his contract until summer 2005.
'Huge faith'
"With this loan spell at NAC, we want to give him [Elmander] many playing minutes over a whole season," said a Feyenoord statement. "The extension of his contract proves the huge faith the Feyenoord technical staff has in his development as a forward."
Intense competition
Elmander arrived in Rotterdam in January 2000 from Swedish side Örgryte IS. However, because of intense competition for places he did not became a first-team regular. Last season he returned to Sweden in a loan move to Djurgårdens IF, and helped the Stockholm club win a league and cup double.
