Article body
Ahmed Madouni faces six weeks with an ankle ligament injury, meaning he will miss the second leg of BV Borussia Dortmund's UEFA Cup first-round tie against FK Austria Wien.
Ruptured ligament
The French defender picked up the injury in Dortmund's 1-0 Bundesliga win against Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday in a collision with Eintracht striker Jermaine Jones. Madouni has ruptured a ligament in his right ankle and will be out for six weeks.
Koller return
Dortmund, who will take a 2-1 advantage into the home leg against Austria, have suffered terrible luck with injuries this season with up to eleven first-team players sidelined for one reason or another. However, coach Matthias Sammer has been boosted by the return of Jan Koller after pneumonia although it is unsure whether Flavio Conceição and Tomáš Rosický will be back in time for the Austria match.
