Done and dusted
The Sporting winger's €6m transfer to Camp Nou was conditional on Rochemback joining the Lisbon club, and the latter player's arrival in the Portuguese capital today rubber-stamped the deal.
Quaresma signs
Portuguese international Quaresma was unveiled by Barcelona this afternoon after adding the finishing touches to his four-year contract with the Catalan club. The 19-year-old, who will have the option of a fifth term at Barça, is considered one of Portuguese football's brightest talents.
Rochemback arrives
Meanwhile, Rochemback heads to Sporting on a three-year loan, with Barcelona continuing to pay part of his wages and having the right to sell the 21-year-old in the summer of 2005 - 12 months before his contract expires.
Sporting hope
"I hope to show my quality and help Sporting achieve better things," said Rochemback, whom Barcelona bought from Brazilian club SC Internacional in 2001. "I am going to give my all to Sporting. I am a fighter and can help the team."
