Forward Peter Foldgast has been ruled out of action for six weeks after tearing shoulder ligaments at the club's winter training camp in Marbella, Spain. He joins Ruben Bagger and Kasper Dalgas on the long-term injury list - meaning that the club will have only one natural striker, Karsten Johansen, available to face Barça.
Accidents happen
"It is disappointing for Peter that he is going to miss the Barcelona games, but you cannot stop accidents like this happening," said Brøndby general secretary Emil Bakkendorff. With the deadline for registering new players in the UEFA Cup passed, Brøndby will be unable to reinforce their squad.
