Moussilou doubt
Zenit stormed to a 5-1 victory against AEK Athens FC on Matchday 1 and visit a Lille side beaten 1-0 at 2. Bundesliga outfit Aachen a fortnight ago. Lille striker Matt Moussilou has back pains and could join midfielder Mathieu Chalmé, who has a fractured cheekbone, on the sidelines. Midfielder Jean Makoun said the French team must "show that we can rule at home". Meanwhile, Zenit are without injured midfielder Radek Šírl and striker Lukáš Hartig as they become the first Russian side to play at the Stade Lille Métropole.
Aranda returns
Sevilla are starting their group campaign at home to Aachen, but were defeated 3-0 by Real Zaragoza at the weekend, although they remain second in the Primera División. Striker Carlos Aranda has recovered from a hamstring problem although Jesuli (muscle complaint) and Aziza Makukula (knee ligament damage) are still out of action. Midfielder Jesús Navas told uefa.com: "Aachen are difficult opponents but we will be thinking about our own game and hoping to put in the same amount of work on the pitch as we have been doing and just enjoy it."
'Tough matches'
Aachen's Simon Rolfes is ruled out with a broken cheekbone, while Cristian Fiel (achilles) and Emil Noll (knee ligament) are rated doubtful. Coach Dieter Hecking said: "We have two really tough matches ahead on Thursday in Seville and on Monday against MSV Duisburg. We have to pull together and use all our reserves of energy for these games."
