Club Brugge to go for broke

Group C: Club Brugge will play three up front at FK Austria Wien in a match crucial to both sides' hopes.

Front trio
FK Austria Wien, Club Brugge KV and Real Zaragoza all have three points and the first two meet in Vienna on Wednesday, while Zaragoza welcome Dnipro. Winners against Utrecht last week, Club Brugge could field an attacking 4-3-3 formation featuring a front trio of Boško Balaban, Rune Lange and Victor.

'Point is a must'
"I do not see any reason why I would not play with three strikers," said coach Trond Sollied. "A point is a must for us, if we could grab all three we'd be almost certain of qualification." While Brugge miss Philippe Clément and the suspended Gert Verheyen and Nastja Ceh, Austria are without Krzysztof Ratajczyk, Florian Metz, Didier Dheedene and Michael Wagner.

Important
However, Markus Kiesenebner and Mikael Antonsson are fit and striker Sigurd Rushfeldt also available, although he is likely to start on the bench. Coach Günter Kronsteiner said Austria had "the power and the quality to produce another surprise like against Zaragoza". After following that victory with defeat at Dnipro, Austria need points on Wednesday and Kronsteiner added: "My players understand the importance of this match."

Zaragoza pair return
Zaragoza can recall David Villa and Luis Cuartero for Dnipro's visit, for which Delio Toledo should play at left-back while either Javi Moreno or Cani will partner Villa in attack. Dnipro are missing several regulars, including Ruslan Rotan and striker Oleh Venhlinskiy, and Olexandr Melashchenko is expected to play as a lone striker while coach Evgeniy Kucherevskiy has not travelled because of pneumonia.

Utrecht fate
Utrecht will be eliminated if Austria and Club Brugge draw, or if Zaragoza gain at least a point and there is a winner in the other match.
