Frau thrilled at PSG transfer

Paris Saint-Germain FC have signed Pierre-Alain Frau on a four-year contract from Ligue 1 champions Olympique Lyonnais.

The 26-year-old spent the second half of the 2005/06 campaign on loan at RC Lens, scoring five goals in 20 games, having found first-team opportunities limited at the Gerland. "I'll be a Parisian for four seasons, it makes me happy," Frau said. "It was my hope to leave one big side for another and the chance to link up with Guy Lacombe influenced my decision." Frau played under Lacombe at his first club FC Sochaux-Montbéliard and the coach is hopeful he will forge a good partnership with Portugal forward Pauleta. The French Cup winners enter the UEFA Cup in September's first round.
