Torino recover to oust nine-man FCK

• Torino through to the round of 32 as Group B runners-up
• Already-eliminated FCK take lead but end first half with nine men

Two Josef Martínez goals and two FC København red cards were the main ingredients as Torino FC recovered from conceding early on to record a 5-1 win that took them through to the UEFA Europa League round of 32.

A bizarre goal was the prelude to a bizarre first half, as Daniel Amartey slid in to block a clearance after six minutes and the ball ricocheted into the back of the net. From then on it was all Torino. Martínez swiftly equalised and after Mathias Jørgensen and Mikael Antonsson were both sent off, four goals in 12 minutes either side of the break decided matters.

Martínez was the scourge of FCK, the 21-year-old Venezuelan equalising with a fine volley on 15 minutes, then drawing the foul from Antonsson that brought a red card on the half-hour mark. Jørgensen soon joined his team-mate in the dressing room after conceding a penalty duly converted by Amauri.

A bad night quickly got worse for the hosts. A beautiful Martínez chip added to their woe soon after the restart, and Matteo Darmian added another before Gastón Silva's volley made it 5-1 on 53 minutes. FCK resisted further pressure from the Italian side as the match calmed down, with Torino content to preserve their energy in the knowledge that a last-32 place was theirs.
