Substitute Yuri Zhirkov found the key to unlock the PSV Eindhoven defence deep into added time as FC Dinamo Moskva made it two wins from two in UEFA Europa League Group E.
Both sides had won their opening games and both created chances early on in Moscow. After five minutes, Christopher Samba's downward header looked as though it would creep inside the post, but Jeroen Zoet got across brilliantly to put the ball behind.
Three minutes later, PSV had an equally good opening as Santiago Arias slipped a clever pass inside the right channel to Georginio Wijnaldum, who hit a powerful shot across Vladimir Gabulov. However, the Dinamo keeper stretched out a strong right hand to keep the effort out.
Christian Noboa and Douglas could both have fired Stanislav Cherchesov's team in front, but Zoet was equal to the challenge on each occasion, producing a couple of fine saves.
Florian Jozefzoon then had a great opportunity to break the deadlock in the second half as he was put through on goal. He rounded Gabulov, but a poor touch sent him wide and his left-footed attempt found the side netting.
However, with only seconds left, the ball fell to Zhirkov as PSV failed to clear a corner and the 31-year-old struck a fine volley which gave Zoet no chance.
