UEFA Europa League contenders S.S. Lazio have signed Argentine international midfielder Lucas Biglia from RSC Anderlecht.
Biglia arrives in Rome for a fee reported to be in the region of €8m. The 27-year-old former CA Independiente player, capped 11 times by Argentina, has signed a five-year contract with the 2013 Coppa Italia winners. The playmaker had been at Anderlecht since leaving his homeland in 2006, winning the Belgian First League title for the fourth time last season.
Lazio have also completed the transfer of 19-year-old Croatian defender Josip Elez, who arrives from HNK Hajduk Split for an undisclosed fee. Elez has also signed a five-year deal.
